Fire-Retardant Coatings: Duration Matters

Fire safety is paramount for every building, factory or structure. That's where fireproofing becomes essential. By employing fire-retardant paints, (intumescent) coatings and/or cementitious fireproofing, you can enhance the fire resistance of concrete and steel. This prolongs structural integrity and potentially helps to save lives. The longer the protection lasts, the better. But not all fires are the same. So, which fire protection is right for you?

Certified for Every Type of Fire

A jet fire differs from an oil (hydrocarbon) fire, and the heat it emits is far more intense than that of a typical house fire. Each type of fire demands a unique fireproofing approach, and we are well-versed in all these nuances. We utilise various coatings tailored to the specific requirements and the heat produced during a fire. Moreover, we are certified for products from leading suppliers, including Jotun's fire-resistant paints.

Mourik's versatility across various sectors often proves beneficial, and our fireproofing solutions are no exception. Our Vogel colleagues are experts in concrete-based and cementitious fireproofing. This is the optimal solution for intense heat from pressurised gas fires in industrial settings or near the ground in multi-storey car parks. On top of that, we apply an additional fire-resistant coating. A prime example of our holistic approach is the recent renovation of the Benelux tunnel in collaboration with our infra team. We equipped the tunnel's cross supports with state-of-the-art fireproofing, underlining our ability to offer a fireproof solution tailored to every structure.
