MOURIK BUILDS STATE-OF-THE-ART CONTROL CENTER

Mourik is building Water-link's Intelligent Control Center in Rumst. This building will be the production center's state-of-the-art nerve center, in which all the water company's processes will be visualized, as well as the home base for Water-link's permanent monitoring. Mourik executes the structural work, finishing and building technologies (HVAC) of the new control center.

COMPLEXITY AND SUSTAINABILITY

Water-link's new control center is by no means an average office building. Designed by HVC Architects, the ultra-modern building is architecturally very special. Almost all of the building's walls are inclined and that in itself makes the construction more complex than usual, for example in terms of construction and stability. Furthermore, the building is designed in line with the sustainable principles of Water-link; the new control center is energy-neutral and no fossil fuels are used, only (green) electricity. The heat pump can both heat and cool thanks to a heat exchanger in the intermediate walls of the water cellar. Thus, the drinking water that Water-link pumps from the basement to their customers forms an almost infinite source of cold or heat.

CUTTING-EDGE TECHNOLOGY

Het gebouw bestaat uit vijf verdiepingen en een kelder. Maar van al deze etages is de derde verdieping het interessantste. Hier komt de controleruimte met een video wall. Op dit grote scherm hebben de medewerkers voortdurend overzicht over de volledige drinkwaterproductie en -distributie. Boven de controlekamer komt het crisiscentrum. Dit centrum is uitgerust met geavanceerde technologie om snel en efficiënt beslissingen te kunnen nemen.

The building consists of five floors and a basement. Of all these floors, the third floor is the most interesting. Here will be the control room with a video wall. On this large screen, employees have a constant overview of the entire drinking water production and distribution. Above the control room will be the crisis center. This center is equipped with advanced technology to make quick and efficient decisions.

Deze complexe bouw is geen gemakkelijke klus voor een   en vraagt een grote inzet en bijzondere know-how van het Mourik-team. Water-link heeft een cruciale rol als het gaat over drinkwater en riolering. Het is dus belangrijk dat het gebouw tijdig klaar is en te allen tijde functioneert. Onze collega's van Mourik Technics dragen ook hun steentje bij aan dit project. Zij zorgen voor de HVAC en sanitair van het gebouw. Ook op dat gebied een aantal ultramoderne oplossingen. De verlichting en verluchting zijn CO2- en bewegingsgestuurd en werken dus alleen wanneer het nodig is. Het is precies deze complexiteit en innovatieve mindset waarin we ons thuis voelen. Tot slot is deze site voor Mourik bekend terrein. Zeven jaar geleden bouwden we hier ook al een nieuwe zuiveringslijn.
