Construction and contracting company Mourik and energy supplier GETEC have reached an agreement regarding the acquisition of GETEC’s industrial cleaning activities. With this strategic acquisition, Mourik strengthens its market position in the northeast of the Netherlands and gains a location at the GETEC PARK.EMMEN industrial site. The activities will be integrated into Mourik’s Industry division.
New region
Jeroen Maan, Director of Mourik Industry, commented on the acquisition: “This acquisition aligns with our strategy to expand our national presence. We know the region well; many of our clients operate here, and we regularly carry out projects in the area. The ongoing energy transition is driving demand for our services. We offer innovative cleaning technologies that help reduce energy consumption and lower CO₂ emissions. Across our organization, we provide a multidisciplinary range of services—from underground and aboveground piping to concrete foundations, from industrial cleaning to environmental technology. With our location in Veendam and now also in Emmen, we can serve clients in this region even better.”

GETEC Managing Director Gideon Slag added: “After careful consideration, we have chosen to focus on our core activities and further build our sustainable impact. In Mourik, we have found a financially healthy and stable party for the takeover of our industrial cleaning activities, as maintaining these services is important for the park. We are confident that these activities will thrive under Mourik’s leadership, and their growth potential will be fully realized.”
All employees of the department will transfer to Mourik as part of the acquisition. Maan said: “The culture and craftsmanship of these employees are an excellent fit with Mourik. We are proud of the trust they have placed in us and look forward to a successful collaboration.”
