Kees Jan Mourik hands over his role as CEO to Jan-Paul van den Bosch
On 1 February 2026, Kees Jan Mourik will step down as CEO and chairman of the Executive Board of Mourik, with Jan-Paul van den Bosch stepping in to take over. The carefully prepared transfer of leadership marks an important moment in the history of the Dutch family business. Kees Jan Mourik will continue to be closely involved with Mourik as a major shareholder and Chair of STAK, the company's shareholder foundation.
More than 33 years at Mourik
Kees Jan Mourik has been working at Mourik for more than 33 years. In January 2013, he took over from his father Kees Mourik as CEO and chairman of the Executive Board, making him the third generation at the helm of the family business. Under his leadership, Mourik evolved into a future-proof organisation with a clear strategy and sound financial foundations.
More than 2,100 employees worldwide work on projects in infrastructure, industry, construction and environmental engineering. In 2024, Mourik generated revenue of 749 million euros.
According to Kees Jan Mourik, the timing is right: "Mourik is in a good position: financially sound, exciting projects all over the world and committed colleagues who make a difference every day. For me, this makes it the right time to hand over the reins".

Jan-Paul van den Bosch: a familiar face within Mourik
Jan-Paul van den Bosch has been with Mourik for almost ten years and has been a member of the Executive Board for the past two years. In that role, he made a significant contribution to the strategic direction and growth of the company.
