Several years ago I started at Mourik, where I was involved in the start-up of the demolition department. Initially I was the helping hand for the crane operator, but now I work as a foreman.

Before joining Mourik, I was self-employed in grouting and remodelling. That experience prepared me well for the challenges I face here every day.

My working day starts at 7am and ends at 3.30pm. I supervise the site, manage my team and help where necessary. What I appreciate enormously at Mourik is the feeling that I am part of a family and not a number.

My advice for those looking to get started in this sector: listening to others and working well together are the keys to success.
