Mourik exists 50 years in Belgium and we celebrated this in an unforgettable way with everyone who contributed to our success: customers, associates, partners, colleagues and their families. On 7 and 8 September, everyone gathered at the beautiful Wolvenbos estate for a weekend full of activities and fun.
Festive evening with Mourik anniversary band
On Saturday, we welcomed our customers and relations to thank them for their long-standing, often recurring trust in Mourik. We started the evening with a delicious walking dinner, followed by a dazzling performance by the Mourik anniversary band, with stars such as Helmut Lotti, Isabelle A, Stijn Meuris, Axl Peleman and Mathias Vergels, under the direction of Rick de Leeuw. And afterwards, of course, the celebrations continued on a packed dance floor until the late hours.
Family day for young and old
Sunday was all about family. All colleagues and their families were invited to join us to celebrate 50 years of Mourik in Belgium. On arrival, they were welcomed by two funny policemen, stilt walkers and Cinderella with her prince.
For the children, there was plenty to do: colorful grime, overhead cycling, a climbing wall, giant soap bubble blowing and circus workshops. The entertainment program was equally impressive. For the little ones, Bumba was a big hit and Samson & Marie set the mood with their cheerful songs. But the highlight of the day for many of our young attendees was undoubtedly Camille's performance. Afterwards, there was even time for a chat and a photo. The day ended with comical covers by Guga Baul who in turn managed to get the older revelers dancing.
Between activities, there was time to enjoy a delicious BBQ. Afterwards, everyone could enjoy an ice cream and for those who still did not have enough, there was also a real treasure trove filled with every possible kind of candy you can imagine.
This celebration weekend is one that we will remember for a long time. We would like to thank everyone for their enthusiasm and commitment. On to the next 50 years, full of new challenges and successes.
