A creative exhibition stand with a good cause
Mourik regularly takes part in job fairs and this year we didn't want just any standard fair stand; we went for something special. We took an original approach by building a stand made of Clics. By doing so, we not only attract attention, but also contribute to the charity Feestvarken VZW.
Feestvarken VZW is committed to helping children in poverty by delivering birthday packages to families who are struggling financially. These packages contain everything needed to organise a party: a nice gift, decorations, treats and toys. Feestvarken's work makes a big difference to children who would otherwise not be able to celebrate their birthdays.
From idea to execution
At Mourik, it's all about doing. Our recruiter, Christa Olieman, says: "We wanted a stand with a story. The idea arose to make something with cubes, something we could build ourselves. Our slogan is 'People make Mourik,' and we wanted to show that."
To realise the idea, Koen Hendrickx, founder of Feestvarken VZW, was contacted. Together with his team, Koen designed a unique construction: a back wall inspired by our Water-Link project in Rumst, combined with a water treatment plant made entirely of Clics.
"Water-Link's building immediately caught our eye," says Koen. "The result is a nice representation of what Mourik does. The compensation we receive helps us make more birthday packages for children in poverty."
Samen impact maken
The partnership with Feestvarken VZW is perfectly in line with our vision as a sustainable employer. Bart Suykerbuyk, Construction Manager, explains: "Poverty is something that is close at hand. Through this project, we create awareness among our people and contribute to a meaningful cause."
The result is not only a creative eye-catcher at job fairs, but also a project that adds value to society. Christa sums it up: "We are incredibly proud of this collaboration and the end result."
