Looking back on a strong start to our collaboration

AVR and Mourik sign a 5-year maintenance contract

Article

Mourik and AVR recently formalized their five-year agreement for the delivery of industrial cleaning services at AVR's sites in Duiven and Rozenburg. During the contract signing, representatives from both organizations reflected on the first few months of their collaboration, a period in which the foundations were laid for a long-term partnership built on shared commitments to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Safety is an ongoing commitment.

AVR CEO Yves Luca reflects on the start of the collaboration: "Mourik's teams began work at both sites during the turnaround period, which meant a significant amount of work had to be completed within a short timeframe. Throughout this period, safety remained our highest priority. That aligns perfectly with the way we work. Safety is an ongoing commitment, something you continue to work on and improve together every single day."

Marjon Veenendaal, Manager Procurement at AVR, also sees a strong foundation for the years ahead: "Mourik presented a highly competitive proposal with clear opportunities for innovation and efficiency improvements. We look forward to achieving our shared ambitions in efficiency, safety, and quality together over the coming years."

Expand collaboration

According to Dennis Zijlmans, Managing Director of Mourik Industry, the first few months have primarily been about getting to know each other. "As with any new partnership, plans and ambitions need to be translated into day-to-day operations. That requires an open mindset, mutual trust, and a willingness to learn from one another. It's great to see that this foundation is firmly in place on both sides."

Operations Director Dick de Gier sees plenty of opportunities to further strengthen the partnership. "Over the coming years, our focus will be on continued professionalization. By optimizing processes, we can work more efficiently and achieve tangible cost savings without compromising on safety or quality. Mourik aims to be more than just a contractor, we want to be a proactive partner that contributes ideas and works closely with AVR to deliver sustainable improvements."

Safety is not a one-time achievement; it's something you continue to work on and improve together every single day.
