Mourik has been recognized as the Most Sustainable Builder in the Netherlands. Every day, we work on developing the infrastructure of our country, continuously seeking new ways to make our efforts even more sustainable. One of the key experts in this is Bram Lommers, Asphalt Manager. Through his role and active involvement in industry collaborations, such as the Asphalt Knowledge Center (AKC), he accelerates the development toward circularity and emission reduction within the sector.

The asphalt sector is changing rapidly under the influence of the Paris Climate Agreement. Warm Mix Asphalt is emerging as the new standard, equipment fleets are transitioning toward zero emissions, and innovative mixtures are increasingly being put into practice. Bram not only encourages the early adoption of Warm Mix Asphalt at Mourik, but was also closely involved in the development and TRL-9 certification of the sustainable SMA GRA 8 COLT® mixture.
