Van bewakingsagent naar projectleider

Bjorn's adventure at Mourik began through a chance connection: "A colleague from the warehouse is related to me by marriage. He told me about the opportunities at Mourik and encouraged me to have an interview." After a positive meeting with the department manager and the HR department, Bjorn took the plunge into a completely new role: Deputy Project Manager Industrial Services.

His previous job as a security guard had few opportunities for advancement, but at Mourik he found an environment where he could develop further. "The transition was challenging, but thanks to my colleagues I learned a huge amount. The administrative support from the clerks and the practical help from the workers make a big difference. For someone with my limited experience, that is indispensable and hugely valuable."

New challenges and hobbies

Besides his work, Bjorn is also active as a football coach at Minderhout VV, where he coaches youngsters. But Mourik brought something else new into his life: racing bikes. "That is probably the influence of my sporting colleagues," he says. he laughs.
