It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of the founder of what is now Mourik, Mr. Cornelis (Kees) Mourik.

Mr. Mourik passed away on the morning of Sunday 22 January 2023 at home after a short illness. He was 85 years old.

Most of us knew him as a hard-working businessman who laid the foundations for what Mourik has become today.

Kees always challenged us, kept us on our toes, and made sure that we always pushed the boundaries so that we could make Mourik a financially healthy, future-proof company.

We look back with gratitude and respect on the period during which he led our company as managing director and the following period when he advised Kees Jan and Marianne, from a distance, after his retirement.

Our thoughts go out to his wife, children and grandchildren.
