The New Way of Driving

December 22 2014

At Mourik Limburg, the New Way of Driving is the focus of attention, for example during the mandatory refresher training hours for drivers within the context of Code 95. The company Transflexion at Echt organised this training.

24 employees paired up and ‘hit the road’ for a day. It was an anxious situation for several participants, because not all of them spend many hours on the road as part of their job.

Several aspects affect fuel consumption:
• Maintenance, truck body and load
• Tyre pressure, which also has an impact on the environment
• Style of driving and changing gear both affect fuel consumption and maintenance
  cost.

This training was also a good investment in the context of CSR.
