We are actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Superintendent to join our esteemed team. This role is pivotal in overseeing the meticulous execution of small-scale projects with precision and expertise.
As a Project Superintendent, you will assume a critical role in project execution, providing expert guidance, troubleshooting, and fostering effective leadership to ensure the seamless completion of projects. Responsibilities include overseeing multiple tasks, delegating responsibilities to supervisors, functionally coaching supervisors, operational staff members and other resources during the project and maintaining transparent communication with our valued clientele.
You will be part of the Operations Team with our office located in Houston, Texas. The Operations team exists of multiple supervisors and Superintendents, and you will report to the General Manager (Business Unit Manager). Your main responsibilities as a Project Superintendent are:
- Independently execute small-scale projects, ensuring their efficiency and timely completion.
- Direct and delegate tasks to multiple supervisors, ensuring their adherence to project timelines and performance standards.
- Deliver comprehensive on-the-job training (OJT) to employees, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge for their roles.
- Monitor project progress meticulously, promptly identifying and addressing any delays, and submitting change orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with customers, addressing their queries and ensuring a high level of satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Employ troubleshooting skills to effectively resolve job-related issues and maintain project momentum.
To be considered for this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Experience in Petrochemical Industry with focus on Catalyst handling is a must.
- Demonstrated ability to autonomously execute small-scale projects with efficiency.
- Strong leadership acumen to effectively direct and delegate tasks.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and adept problem-solving skills within the job scope.
- Willingness to travel worldwide approximately two-third of the year
- Connects with estimating and/or commercial department in case deviations on original contract or purchase order occurs (discount requests, scope changes, (significant) cost changes)
